From millet flours and bamboo crafts to herbal oils and handwoven shawls, the region’s products are rich in authenticity and cultural value. Yet today, they are sold in scattered, fragmented ways, without a unified space that reflects their significance. This project challenges you to create a design proposal for a Rural Mart in Toranmal as a cultural and commercial landmark that brings together local products, stories, and people under one roof. Positioned at a tourist hub, this Rural Mart must serve a dual role: As a marketplace that empowers local SHGs, FPOs, and artisans. As a visitor experience that showcases Nandurbar’s culture, crafts, and food, heritage.
